I will defend reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, voting rights, and the civil rights of every Floridian.
And women must have their health care decisions restored.
Women must have the right to choose their own healthcare. Our LGBTQ+ communities must have every right afforded to everyone, including where they live, what schools they attend, the opportunity to pursue good jobs, and who they choose to love.
I oppose hyperscale data centers and unchecked expansion that benefits major corporations while leaving nearby residents to deal with the environmental and financial consequences.
We cannot allow America to become a surveillance state where a handful of AI oligarchs profit by giving the government the power to track our every movement.
Large-load data centers can place significant demands on local energy, water, and infrastructure.
Civil rights and our fundamental freedoms must be protected. Our state can restore those rights to our citizens and be a leader to the nation. The cruel and vile anti- DEI law must be repealed. It legalizes discrimination.
Investing in first responders and law enforcement helps them protect our communities.
At the same time, we must hold law enforcement to a high standard and push for more de-escalation training and accountability.
I will fight for policies that put working people and their families first, not corporate special interests and big profits.
I will fight for fair and livable wages, good-paying jobs, and economic policies that put working families first, not corporate special interests. We must stop union-busting bills and instead strengthen our unions and protect workers from greedy corporations and politicians. Workers deserve a voice, fair wages, and the opportunity to build a secure future.
I’m running for State Senate because I believe Florida should work for all of us, not just corporations and wealthy special interests. I’ll fight to make life more affordable, strengthen our public schools, protect Florida’s natural resources, and defend the rights and freedoms of every Floridian.
After 28 years teaching in our public schools, I am running to protect education, lower costs for working families and defend our freedoms.
I will protect and strengthen Florida’s public schools and the teachers who make them possible.
Our teachers are under attack, We are 50th in the nation in teacher pay, but 11th in cost of living. Teachers continue to be physically abused by students and threatened by administrators. And any sense of a secure job beyond 10 months was removed years ago. Our children are losing good teachers in Florida. They deserve the best!
The voucher system is broken and Tallahassee is not interested in fixing it or being tranparent with our money. We have always had school choice. Now if we are going to have our tax dollars go to these vouchers, those schools must be accountable, their curriculum equitable, have certified teachers, and admit all students. Our children deserve what Article IX, Section 1 of our Constitution guarantees: a uniform, safe, secure, and high-quality system of free public schools that allows all students to obtain a high-quality education.

Regardless of their ZIP code or past, every child deserves what the Florida Constitution promises: a safe, secure, uniform, free, high-quality public education.

Voting must be protected from those trying to undermine our elections.
Renewable energy subsidies can incentivize homeowners and businesses to invest in solar power. I have had solar on my home for many years.
Residents will deal with noise pollution and water shortages. Our fragile aquifer cannot handle unlimited demands.
I oppose hyperscale data centers and unchecked expansion that benefits major corporations while leaving nearby residents to deal with the environmental and financial consequences.
Large-load data centers can place significant demands on local energy, water, and infrastructure.
I believe we have a responsibility to protect these resources from pollution, overdevelopment, and decisions that prioritize short-term profits over our communities.
We must protect our rural boundaries, our conservation lands, and our aquifer for generations to come.

Protecting Florida also means protecting our animals and their habitats. We must strengthen safeguards for animals and the natural spaces they rely on to survive, and hold those who harm or exploit animals accountable.

I will fight to lower healthcare costs, restore ACA subsidies, and expand access to quality care.
ACA subsidies must be returned. Healthcare is a right of all people, not just the rich.
Medicaid must be expanded, and we must study new ways to bring down the costs of quality healthcare for everyone.
Pharmaceutical companies are ripping off our most vulnerable, retirees, young people, and all those struggling to make ends meet.
And women must have their health care decisions restored.
And property insurance has not been “fixed.” Too many dollars are leaving the pockets of Floridians and going into the pockets of corporations making record profits.
I will push for policies that help make housing affordable, protect renters, and help families and retirees stay rooted in the communities they love. We must hold HOAs management accountable for unfair practices that push our good home owners. Builders and corporations must pay their fair share for infrastructure. Growth must pay for growth. We need to fix the neighborhoods that have been negatively impacted by overdevelopment.

We need clear limits, transparency, and accountability when surveillance technology is used in our communities.
Large-load data centers can place significant demands on local energy, water, and infrastructure.
Our surveillence cameras must also be examined very carefully.
