Uphold The Constitution The Constitution of the United States is clear in it's mandate that all men, women and children are created equal. Yet for far too long black and brown communities and low income neighborhoods are left behind when it comes to development, maintenace and services. This unfair practice is the result of the preferential treatment of big corporate donors, and wealthy individuals that help fund campaigns. This practice will cease inmediately as the focus will shift to protecting the equal access to government funds by the most needed communities.

Immigrants are being targeted because of the color of their skin. Racial profiling is being used against Black and Latino communities. People are being detained by masked agents, without warrants, at workplaces, in stores, even in schools. That is not justice. That is abuse. Citizens, legal residents, asylum seekers, undocumented people, everyone is in the crosshairs. Families are being separated. Children are living in fear.

Inmigrants are not Criminals Inmigrants Are Not Criminals All Inmigrants regardless of Inmigration status are protected by the Constitution and are entitled to due process. No citizen should be harrased, searched, attacked or arrested without reasonable cause or a proper search warrant signed by a judge. Racial Profiling is wrong, it's illegal and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. All ICE agents will have to adhere to the proper law enforcement protocol and to follow the following guidelines: Agents are strictly prohibited from wearing any type of face covering while performing official duties in the State of Florida. All agents must wear a visible name tag and badge number at all times while on duty. No untrained personnel or independent contractors may perform border patrol or law enforcement duties. All agents must have completed full basic law enforcement training as required by the Department of Homeland Security for its personnel. All agents are subject to comprehensive background checks. Any prior criminal record, felony conviction, sexual offense designation, or charges involving assault or battery will result in immediate termination. Any agent conducting official duties must wear a body camera, and the device must remain activated for the duration of the operation.

Economy, jobs and wages

Address the affordable housing and rent crisis. Support small businesses with fair regulations and access to capital. Promote economic policies that lower the cost of living. Encourage responsible development that benefits working families.

rickyfor50.com ·

Small businesses the ones that lift up our neighborhoods and our communities are being crushed by this economy. Costs are unbearable, economic policies have failed, and unnecessary tariffs are making it harder than ever just to survive in Florida. Many business owners are struggling to keep their doors open.

Education

Children and education are the foundation of a strong society. Every child deserves the tools, resources, and support necessary to succeed. When I take the oath of office, that will be one of my highest priorities.

rickyfor50.com ·

Increase teacher salaries to retain and attract top educators. Fully fund public schools and improve classroom resources. Prioritize children’s mental health and special needs services. Strengthen school safety through responsible, effective measures. Invest in long-term academic excellence and workforce readiness. Every child is entitled to Free Lunch.

rickyfor50.com ·

Teachers Pay Increase Teachers play the most valuble role in our communities. They are the cornerstone of our society. The task of teaching our next generation of leaders and shaping the future of our State cannot be undermined by low and unfair wages. This inequality has gone unattended for far too long. The resourses and revenue of the Florida Lottery is supposed to attend the needs of our schools, yet a lot of said funds are mismanaged. I will introduce legislation to maximize the impact on our Education system, by redirecting wasteful expending to pay for more teachers and better salaries. Our children deserve the best education and the best educators that money can buy.

Environment and climate

Unfortunately many of our children that come from most of the lower income neighborhoods do not have the opportunity to participate because their parents can't afford it or they come from single parent homes and cannot afford the registration fees. Sometimes coaches or trainers like myself pay or cover these expenses, but unfortunately this is not enough. Far too many children are left behind because they cannot pay. I will make the committment to identify and find the resouces necessary to help these children pay the registration fees to be able to participate.

Healthcare

As Vice President of the Extended Congressional Delegation for Puerto Rico, Florida Chapter, I have worked to advance legislation to bring equal rights, the presidential vote, and fair access to healthcare and federal benefits for residents of the island — as well as for the veterans and active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces.

Owning a home is now a luxury for the wealthy. The American Dream is being denied to working people. And meanwhile, insurance companies take advantage of everyday families with no consequences.

Immigration

As a human rights advocate, I have marched and rallied for the release of political prisoners in Cuba and Venezuela. I have defended the rights of immigrants seeking legal status and have stood firm in protecting their constitutional right to due process as they pursue political asylum.
